After you have a whole number, go to that coordinate in the Nether and make the portal there as well. Once you have that, round the number if you are getting an answer in the decimals (since coordinates in decimals won’t work). To avoid this issue, you must first note the exact coordinates of your Overworld portal and divide the coordinates of the Nether by eight. However, as you progress in the game, you will find points of interest in the Nether that you do not want to miss out on or don’t want to always walk back to since they can be far from your current portal. When you make a portal to the Nether, you will be teleported to a random coordinate. However, worry not because we will explain all of these steps in detail in the next section so that you can successfully link your portals and make it easier to travel to the Nether and back to the Overworld.
